えひめ丸慰霊２3周年俳句・短歌投稿募集
えひめ丸慰霊祭の日が近づいてまいりました。NPO法人アイムえひめは県民をはじめとする皆様の慰霊の気持ちを伝える活動を行なっています。
コロナ禍で迎えた20周年以来、人の移動ができずハワイの現地に行けなくなった時、みなさまから俳句と短歌を募り、ハワイに送る活動を始めました。そして20周年、21周年は宇和島の慰霊祭に参加し、直接俳句・短歌集を御霊に供えました。
そして22周年には3年ぶりにハワイ現地に飛び、献花と共に俳句・短歌集を捧げることができました。
アイムえひめは23周年も引き続き同プロジェクトを実行いたします。思いを伝えたい人はどなたでも結構です。投句料は不要、賞を設けるものでもありません。選句はなく、すべての人の詩をまとめます。
編集した俳句と短歌は「えひめ丸慰霊碑管理協会」（ハワイ日米協会）に送ると共に、理事長は宇和島水産高校の慰霊祭に俳句・短歌集を供えます。
なお、本年もハワイ現地での慰霊祭参加のためフライトを取ってありましたが理事長個人で参加するには厳しく、やむなく断念しました。しかし現地参加に関わらず継続していけるのが慰霊の俳句・短歌プロジェクトであり、その意義を感じております。

Call for Haiku and Tanka Submissions for the 23rd Anniversary
of the Ehimemaru Memorial Service
The day of the memorial service for the Ehime Maru is approaching, and the NPO I’M EHIME is working to convey the feelings of the people of the prefecture and others in Hawaii for the victims of the disaster.
Since the outbreak of the COVID-19, when we were unable to go to Hawaii due to the paralyzed transportation, we started to collect haiku and tanka poems from everyone and send them to Hawaii. On the 20th and 21st anniversaries, I participated in the memorial service in Uwajima and offered haiku and tanka collections directly to the spirits.
On the 22nd anniversary, I flew to Hawaii for the first time in three years to offer flowers and haiku and tanka collections.
I’M EHIME will continue this project on the 23rd anniversary. Anyone who would like to share their thoughts and feelings is welcome to do so. There is no charge for submitting poems, and no prizes will be awarded. There will be no selection of poems, and all poems will be compiled.
The edited haiku and tanka poems will be sent to the “Ehime Maru Memorial Association(EMMA)” which belongs to Japan-America Society of Hawaii(JASH).
Meanwhile, the president will also present the collection of haiku and tanka poems in the memorial service at Uwajima Fisheries High School on site.
I had already made a flight to participate in the memorial service in Hawaii this year, but it was too difficult for me to attend personally, so I had no choice but to give up the idea of participating. However, I feel that the significance of the Haiku and Tanka Project is that it can continue regardless of whether or not I participate in the event.
